In his early years of study, Dr. Simmons obtained the The Cum Laude designation from the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society for achieving a high level of academic excellence and for having an exceptional performance in medical school. This honor and the knowledge and work that it took to obtaine it, set the foundation for Dr. Simmons work and the impeccable quality of his practice.

Part of Dr Simmons training was received at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, a private university, and one of the most competitive in terms of acceptance in the U.S. There he participated in multiple activities for five years, gaining exceptional abilities that he applies to his patients today.

Later on Dr. Simmons came to occupy multiple positions in his career. As part of his pedagogical work, he took the role of Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, were he shared and gained knowledge with both students and professors, shaping his approach to the discipline in a superb manner. From 2010 to 2020 he worked at multiple practices as a surgeon and in 2015, working and founding his own practice.
