Extra Tips

To better your preparation before coming to Miami, make sure to read all of these tips.

  1. Plan Your Travel Early: Book your flights and accommodation well in advance to secure the best rates and availability.
  2. Consult with Your Surgeon: Schedule a pre-operative consultation with your plastic surgeon in Miami to discuss your procedure, expectations, and any concerns you may have.
  3. Arrange for Transportation: Coordinate transportation from the airport to your accommodation and to the surgical facility for appointments and surgery day.
  4. Follow Pre-Operative Instructions: Adhere to the pre-operative guidelines provided by your surgeon, such as fasting before surgery and avoiding certain medications. For more information about Pre-Operative Instructions, please read this document.
  5. Pack Wisely: Pack comfortable clothing, toiletries, medications, and any necessary medical documents or prescriptions for your trip.
  6. Stay Hydrated and Rested: Prioritize hydration and rest before your surgery to promote optimal healing and recovery.
  7. Follow Post-Operative Care Instructions: After surgery, follow your surgeon’s post-operative care instructions diligently to ensure a smooth recovery process. For more information about Post-Operative Instructions, please read this document.
  8. Plan for Follow-Up Appointments: Arrange for follow-up appointments with your surgeon in Miami before returning home to monitor your progress and address any concerns.
  9. Stay in Touch with Your Support System: Keep in contact with friends or family members for emotional support and assistance during your recovery period.
  10. Enjoy Your Stay in Miami Safely: Take time to relax and explore Miami’s attractions safely once you’re cleared by your surgeon, but avoid strenuous activities that could compromise your healing process.

SCHEDULING THE SURGERY DATE

A Patient Care Consultant will contact you once you’ve decided to move forward with your chosen procedure to discuss available surgical dates. Due to the popularity of our surgeons locally and nationwide, securing your preferred dates will require a deposit, as availability is often limited. We recommend patients to plan their arrival one day prior to their pre-operative appointment.

CLEARANCE FOR SURGERY

Upon scheduling the surgery date, we will ensure that you are cleared for the procedure. Your surgeon will provide specific instructions upon request. A prescription for required laboratory testing can be sent to the patient or their chosen facility, with testing ideally completed 30 days prior to surgery. Depending on the patient’s health status and the nature of the procedure, additional testing may be necessary.

PLAN YOUR TRIP

Once the patient has been cleared for surgery, it’s time to start planning your trip. For your convenience, we have compiled a list of nearby hotels and airports close to our surgery center. We strongly advise patients to arrange for a companion to accompany them and provide care following the procedure. A caretaker can assist with transportation to and from the clinic, help with personal care and hygiene, including meal preparation and shopping, run important errands such as picking up prescriptions, provide assistance with walking, dressing, and offer the necessary support and companionship during the recovery period

YOUR FIRST APPOINTMENT

• An initial consultation with your surgeon is crucial. Patients have two choices for this consultation: they can either schedule an in-person visit or opt for a virtual meeting to discuss the procedure details. During this consultation, patients may provide body photographs via email to aid in the screening process. Coming prepared with a few basic questions during the first meeting can help the surgeon better grasp your aesthetic surgical objectives and offer appropriate recommendations.

• Patients are also welcome to schedule an in-person consultation to discuss the proposed surgery and address any questions they may have. Our patient coordinators will be readily available to provide information on surgical fees and other associated expenses. A comprehensive price quote and relevant details about the desired procedure will be provided, allowing you to make necessary arrangements and plan accordingly.

• Recognizing that traveling might be impractical for certain patients, we offer email consultations as an alternative. Patients will be requested to send full-body photographs, typically from the front, sides, and rear, depending on the procedure and surgical approach. Additionally, we require the patient’s medical history, including current medications and supplements, which can be provided through a medical questionnaire we will supply. For inquiries, please email your questions to [email protected].
