Dr. Mariana Hoyos was born in Pereira, Colombia, and grew up in Wellington, Florida. She earned her M.D. at Indiana University School of Medicine and completed the six-year integrated plastic surgery residency at Larkin Community Hospital in Miami, finishing as chief resident in 2026.
The gluteal work.
During her residency she operated and published alongside Dr. Christopher Salgado, who also operates at Beautyland. Their 2026 paper in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery reviewed thirty consecutive gluteal augmentations performed with subfascial silicone implants, adding fat grafting selectively where the soft-tissue envelope was too thin for fat alone.
That is the part of the field she has taken as her own: the patient who is told she does not have enough fat for a Brazilian butt lift, and the patient who has already had one and is not happy with the result.
